The KSF deep fryer: A success story

The KSF deep fryer is a quality product from Germany that has been supplying the catering industry with crispy food for over 50 years. Whether fries/chips, pasta, fish or vegetables, the KSF deep fryer prepares everything evenly and deliciously. But how did it all begin?

The advantages: Why choose a KSF deep fryer?

A KSF deep fryer offers many advantages over other deep fryers:

  • It has a double-walled stainless steel housing, which provides good heat insulation and saves energy.
  • It has high-quality functional components, such as an ignition fuse, piezo ignition and a chimney to dissipate the heat and exhaust gases.
  • It has a steep-bottomed basin with a cooling zone where the frying crumbs can sink without burning. This prolongs the life of the frying oil and maintains the quality of the food.
  • It has a tight-fitting lid that prevents oil or odours from escaping.
  • It has baskets in different sizes that can be replaced as needed.
  • It is ready to use in about 12 – 13 minutes and has a high throughput.

The KSF deep fryer has become an all-rounder in many areas. It is used in vending trolleys, beer gardens, snack shops and restaurant kitchens.

The beginnings: The first gas-heated fryer

The history of the KSF deep fryer began in 1978, when we started building gas-heated deep fryers in single-basin format. The fryers had cast aluminium basins with a capacity of approx. 8 litres and were specially designed for use in large kitchens or catering establishments.

The further development: The double basin deep fryer with CE certification

In 1985, we expanded our range to include double basin deep fryers to meet the increasing demand. We also obtained European CE certification to guarantee the safety and quality of their products.

The modernisation: stainless steel basins with new controls

In 1998, we replaced the cast aluminium basins with stainless steel basins, which were easier to clean and more durable. Over the next few years, we also modernised the controls of our fryers and launched our first fish fryers.

The innovation: The V-version with higher performance

In 2008, we responded to the growing trend of mobile sales and added our higher capacity V-version to the range. This fryer had an output of 12 KW on 8 litres of oil and fried large quantities of frozen goods without a drop in temperature. It is ideal for vending carts, beer gardens or public festivals.

The expansion: the 3-bowl deep fryer and the electric deep fryer

In 2015, KSF expanded its range to include a 3-basin deep fryer and an electric deep fryer for even more flexibility and variety. The electric fryer was intended especially for use in restaurant kitchens or in the catering sector.
